Key part of my role at MS3 is promoting the benefits of DevOps by identifying and quantifying the business benefits that come from the greater agility DevOps delivers. Also automation architect because DevOps relies heavily on automated systems, using latest and newest tools to stay ahead as DevOps is fast moving industry. Day to Day consists of creating robust automated CI/CD systems for internal and client work. New application deployments to kubernetes and existing application runtime migration strategies and system design. Educating other team members in benefits of infrastructure as code and git ops methodologies.
Started my career 5 years ago as IT Administrator for small e-commerce company, which had rapid growth. This allowed me to learn more about different systems and applications. Moved into a support role at datacentre, this helped me become a better system Administrator understand Linux to higher level. Moved into DevOps where I invested a lot of time into cloud technologies like AWS, Azure and google cloud. Main part of the role was to migrate monolithic application to micro services.
Worked with developers to create strong system. This was then aided by our CI/CD which gave us faster velocity of releases.
